You Season 3 Trailer: a teaser of what to expect

Fortunately, Netflix seems to understand exactly how thirsty You fans are for more of the show, and the streamer marked the season 3 renewal announcement with a teaser trailer. Much like season 2’s initial reveal trailer, which featured, Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a serial killer and bookstore clerk at Anavrin, now using the pseudonym Will Bettelheim for a new identity.

You Season 3 Cast: who we expect to return

Penn Badgley will return in the lead role of Joe Goldberg, and Victoria Pedretti will reprise her role as Love Quinn, Joe's girlfriend. On January 25, 2021, Scott Michael Foster joined the cast in a recurring role for the third season. On April 15, 2021, it was confirmed that John Stamos would not be returning in the third season.

We also feel pretty confident in assuming the characters featured in the series are returning.  Travis Van Winkle and Shalita Grant were cast as series regulars. Scott Speedman was cast in a recurring role, for the third season. On November 18, 2020, Dylan Arnold and Tati Gabrielle were announced as new series regular cast members, and recurring guests Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Mehl, Christopher O'Shea, Christopher Sean, Bryan Safi, Mackenzie Astin, Ayelet Zurer, Jack Fisher, and Mauricio Lara were also announced.

You Season 3 Story: what we expect from the next set of episodes

The first two seasons were loosely based on the books You and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes. A third book written by Kepnes was published on April 6, 2021, but it is unclear the extent to which that novel's plot will inform You's third season. For the third season, the series was awarded $7.2 million in tax credits by the state of California.

You is one of Netflix's best shows

'You' has a lot of fun as the titular figure, giving us a great cross-section of Joe Goldberg's life as an artist and businessman, love life of his personal issues and professional triumphs. Even though it's otherwise pretty familiar-feeling as biographical projects go, it's very well-produced, and is something you'll likely enjoy if you're a fan of expensive period shows like Riverdale – and it lands on the classier side of Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble's recent work.
